At ST&T/SPIE EI2014 conference, the fellow researchers participated in setting up a CP7.0 project demonstration table during the demonstration session on tuesday evening, February 4, 2014. This session, during the conference provided a unique networking opportunity, a time when attendees could see the latest research in action, compare commercial products and ask questions to technically knowledgeable demonstrators. After the special session at MMRMA conference in Electronic Imaging 2014 which was in San Francisco USA, CP7 consortium took the opportunity to visit the Stanford Center for Image Systems Engineering (SCIEN) at Stanford University campus. A special session was organised by the CP7.0 consortium in the MMRMA conference at Electronic Imaging 2014. Prof. Jon Yngve Hardeberg gave an invited talk on CP7.0 project goals, challenges and accomplishments. A total of 10 papers are published by the consortium (at the MMRMA conference) in EI2014. The fourth training event of the project was organised at TUD, Darmstadt, Germany on December 2 – 6, 2013. The event was attended by all the research fellows as part of the training program in the CP7.0 project.
The training covered the area of gamut mapping in the colour reproduction field along with spectral imaging workflow and traditional printing workflows in detail. To know more, please click here.

Papers accepted at CVCS 2013

The third training event of the project was organised at the network partner Linköpings Universitet, Campus Norrköping, Sweden on May 27 – 31, 2013. The event was attended by all the ESRs as part of training program in the CP7.0 project.
This training event covered the fundamental knowledge about halftoning concepts and methodologies, as well as models predicting the spectral outcome of halftone prints. For more details click here.

Teun Baar accepts PhD position at Océ
Teun Baar has accepted the offer for a PhD position at Océ. He will work on “Optimization of Print Quality” under the supervision of Dr. Nicolas Bonnier. Tuen Baar holds a MSc Applied Physics, specialised in Image Processing, and a BSc Applied Physics, both from Delft University of Technology. We welcome Teun Baar to CP7.0 and to Océ.
