CP7 researcher Radovan Slavuj presented his work at the IARIGAI 2013 conference recently held in Chemnitz, Germany. His publication at IARIGAI 2013 talks about spectral printing models that can be used in printing and two halftone models which can implemented during spectral printing. The title of his research paper published is ‘Review and analysis of spectral characterisation models and halftoning for multi-channel printing’.
Melissa Olen has recently returned from the IMPACT8 International Printmaking Conference in Dundee, Scotland. Apart of the panel discussion “Transversing Print Media”, Melissa discussed her research on “Artist influenced approaches for colour reproduction in inkjet printing”. We are happy to inform that CP7 project is one of the success stories (refer page 46) in the ‘EU FP7 People Specific Programme Success Stories Booklet’. This booklet talks about success stories from different countries and is formulated with the help of each country national contact point (NCP). In the booklet, the Individual Marie Curie Actions Stories are mentioned in the first part, while, the Host Driven Marie Curie Actions Stories are mentioned in the second part. We are happy to inform that CP7 researcher Sepideh Samadzadegan from Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany is now a member of the CIE TC 8-13 technical committee working on Colour Gamuts for Output Media. The aim of this committee is to study and recommend methods for computing and communicating colour gamuts for output reproduction media in which Sepideh will be contributing with her research carried out in this project.
CIE (The International Commission on Illumination or its French title, the Commission Internationale de l´Eclairage) aims for a worldwide cooperation and the exchange of information on matters relating to the science and art of light and lighting, colour and vision, photobiology and image technology. CIE is an independent, non-profit organisation that serves its member countries on a voluntary basis. Papers accepted at CVCS 2013

June 13, 2013, CP7.0 project members Aditya Sole, Radovan Slavuj and Ludovic Coppel visited the CP7.0 project partner Technische Universität Darmstadt (TUD), Darmstadt, Germany. The CP7.0 project team at Darmstadt (Dr. Steven Le Moan, MSc Sepideh Samadzadegan along with Dip-Ing Jana Blahova) did provide introduction to the laboratories at the Printing Science department at TUD. The Norway team also participated in psychophysical experiments currently being conducted as part of the CP7 research activities carried out by Dr. Le Moan.
CP7.0 project members Radovan Slavuj, Srikrishna Nudurumati, Ludovic Coppel and Aditya Sole participated in the work group meetings on June 10th and 11th, 2013 and in the Graphic Arts Color Experts’ Day organised by ICC on June 12, 2013 at Frankfurt, Germany. CP7.0 project and consortium was presented at the Experts’ Day by Radovan Slavuj and Aditya Sole giving information on the research being carried out in the project and the FP7 Marie Curie ITN funding received for the research from REA, Brussels.
