A special session was organised by the CP7.0 consortium in the MMRMA conference at Electronic Imaging 2014. Prof. Jon Yngve Hardeberg gave an invited talk on CP7.0 project goals, challenges and accomplishments. A total of 10 papers are published by the consortium (at the MMRMA conference) in EI2014. The fourth training event of the project was organised at TUD, Darmstadt, Germany on December 2 – 6, 2013. The event was attended by all the research fellows as part of the training program in the CP7.0 project.
The training covered the area of gamut mapping in the colour reproduction field along with spectral imaging workflow and traditional printing workflows in detail. To know more, please click here.
CP7 researchers Steven Le Moan and Sepideh Samadzadegan presented their work at the twenty first Color Imaging Conference (CIC) held recently from 4 – 8 November 2013 in Albuquerque, NM, USA. CIC is one of the most coveted conferences in the area of colour imaging. The following research papers were presented by Steven Le Moan and Sepideh Samadzadegan at CIC:
CP7 researcher Ludovic Gustafsson Coppel presented the CP7.0 project at the Norwegian Paper and Fibre Research Institute (PFI) in Trondheim. PFI is an independent research institute within wood fibre, pulp, paper, new biobased materials and biofuels. For more details please click here.
CP7 researcher Steven Le Moan presented his work at the ICIP conference in Melbourne, Australia in September, 2013. His publication at ICIP introduces a new strategy for spectral image quality assessment based on modified existing full-reference color image-difference measure. The title of his research paper published is ‘Evaluating the perceived quality of spectral images’.
CP7 researcher Radovan Slavuj presented his work at the IARIGAI 2013 conference recently held in Chemnitz, Germany. His publication at IARIGAI 2013 talks about spectral printing models that can be used in printing and two halftone models which can implemented during spectral printing. The title of his research paper published is ‘Review and analysis of spectral characterisation models and halftoning for multi-channel printing’.
Melissa Olen has recently returned from the IMPACT8 International Printmaking Conference in Dundee, Scotland. Apart of the panel discussion “Transversing Print Media”, Melissa discussed her research on “Artist influenced approaches for colour reproduction in inkjet printing”. We are happy to inform that CP7 project is one of the success stories (refer page 46) in the ‘EU FP7 People Specific Programme Success Stories Booklet’. This booklet talks about success stories from different countries and is formulated with the help of each country national contact point (NCP). In the booklet, the Individual Marie Curie Actions Stories are mentioned in the first part, while, the Host Driven Marie Curie Actions Stories are mentioned in the second part.
