CP7.0 project members Radovan Slavuj, Srikrishna Nudurumati, Ludovic Coppel and Aditya Sole participated in the work group meetings on June 10th and 11th, 2013 and in the Graphic Arts Color Experts’ Day organised by ICC on June 12, 2013 at Frankfurt, Germany. CP7.0 project and consortium was presented at the Experts’ Day by Radovan Slavuj and Aditya Sole giving information on the research being carried out in the project and the FP7 Marie Curie ITN funding received for the research from REA, Brussels. Ludovic Gustafsson Coppel has started at GUC as a post doctoral candidate. He will be responsible for devising implementation strategies for models developed in this programme, testing within colour reproduction workflows, advising on the selection of test images and on coding of implementations and prototype end-use applications. He has a background in Physics. He received his MSc. in Physics from the University of Provence, France, in 1997 and his PhD in Engineering Physics at the Örnsköldsvik Digital Printing Center, Mid Sweden University in 2013.
From the 23rd to the 29th of April Océ Norway’s Business week took place in Océ showroom in Oslo. The Norwegian Colour and Visual Computing Laboratory had a day dedicated to practial colour management, giving a workshop on colour management and presentations of their research to Norwegian graphic arts industry. Training Event 1 starts on 22.Oct
Gjøvik University College welcomes CP 7.0 Training Event 1 from 22 October 2012 till 2 November 2012. The Event will be an introduction to the Project Consortium, Structure, Plans and Funding, it will give an input to the State of the Art and Research Challenges in Colour Imaging, and will provide Training Activities and Social Program to establish the group. Srikrishna Nudurumati has accepted the offer for a PhD position at Gjøvik University College. He will work on “Design and Development of Spectral Colour Management Workflows” under the supervision of Prof. Jon Yngve Hardeberg. Srikrishna has a masters’ degree in Remote Sensing & Geo Information Systems from National Institute of Technology, Warangal India. He has an extensive work experience in Color Image and Video Processing, Subjective and Ojective Image/Video Quality analysis, Color Reproduction and Device Colour Management Systems, Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. His professional work experience includes that from HP’s Imaging and Printing Group, Video Product Division at Tektronix and EFI. The CP7.0 consortium welcomes Srikrishna.
Radovan Slavuj joins GUC as a PhD student
Radovan Slavuj has accepted the offer for a PhD position at Gjøvik University College. He will work on “Spectral Modelling for multi-channel printers and displays” under the supervision of Prof. Jon Yngve Hardeberg. Radovan’s educational background is in computational and graphic engineering and he is holding Engineering (MSc) degree from Faculty of Technical Sciences (University of Novi Sad), Serbia, as well as MSc in Digital Colour Imaging from London College of Communication. His research interests are in color management with utilization of both conventional and multispectral approaches. We welcome Radovan to CP7.0 and to Gjøvik University College.
